Serving as a precursor to our Comprehensive Studio design work, we were tasked to think of interior spaces and the ways in which our inhabitation begins to shape them. Rather than working from the overall site scale to a smaller interior scale as done in most large scale architectural projects, we explored inhabitation as a way to approach the overall design with more focus and understanding. Working in groups, students were told to find an object of a specific theme in their house without anymore information. Using these objects as drivers, each student would then go on to imagine an interior space that would best facilitate the use of these objects in an interesting way. Working sectionally, I Iocated spaces in such a way that would allow them to relate in both plan and section.
